Create your own plastic parts using 3D printing! Design it yourself using any computer-aided design (CAD) software, or download pre-designed parts from sites like thingiverse.com, printables.com, and many others. Library staff will help you prepare your design for 3D printing, discuss available plastics and colors, and get you started on the printers. Plastic filament is available for purchase from the library for $0.10/gram. Note that 3D printing is a slow process, and you should expect it to take several days before your finished part is ready. Availability of 3D printers will vary by location.
